Join us for Building Power Across the Spectrum 2020 on Friday, November 13th – Saturday, November 14th, 2020 to learn how to improve lives and fight for the rights of people living with HIV and hepatitis, people who use drugs and affected communities from grassroots leaders and respected experts. We’re disappointed that we can’t gather in person together this year, but are excited to continue the tradition of bringing advocates from across the state together virtually.
Day 1 of Building Power Across the Spectrum will be filled with a variety of workshops focused on a range of topics related to issues that are important to people living with HIV, hepatitis or people who use drugs. We will dive into strategies to equip advocates with the tools and knowledge needed to advocate for themselves and their community.
Later that evening, we will be virtually hosting our Building Power Across the Spectrum Reception where we will present the Advocate of the Year award and the Local Health Department of the Year award.
Day 2 of Building Power Across the Spectrum will cover a wide range of topics related to HIV and its intersections and will provide greater understanding of the issues we are facing and its impact on people living with or vulnerable to HIV in the community. We will also be discussing current events, such as COVID-19 and racial injustice, and our role as advocates on these issues.
We are excited to announce that Building Power Across the Spectrum will be available in both English and Spanish! We will also be providing closed captioning to increase accessibility to the conference. Even if you cannot attend the entire conference, be sure to still register to receive the recordings of all of the sessions following the conference.
We have some exciting swag and surprises in store for this year’s conference and we do not want anyone to miss out! Be sure to register for Building Power Across the Spectrum by October 15th. People who register for the conference after the deadline will still be able to register for the conference, but will not receive swag and surprises.
