For almost a decade, NC AIDS Action Network and Playmakers Repertory Company have hosted Broadway Twisted, an annual cabaret show of gender flipped showtunes at Local 506 in Chapel Hill. This annual performance has raised more than $31,000 to benefit NCAAN and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, this year’s performance was cancelled, but we’re excited to pivot to hosting a virtual performance this year on May 6th at 8 PM on our facebook page! Shifting to a virtual format is providing us an exciting opportunity to engage a broader group of our community. This year’s performance will include some alums of past performers, along with North Carolina artists with Playmakers Repertory Company and the Winston-Salem Little Theatre.
In this challenging time, we hope you’ll consider a contribution to support this year’s event. Our work has never been more important, in addition to supporting NC AIDS Action Network’s work to advocate on behalf of the HIV community, a portion of funds raised will go to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS COVID Relief Fund. Thank you to Avita Pharmacy for serving as the Presenting Sponsor of Broadway Twisted this year! All supporters over $100 will be recognized as sponsors during the virtual show on May 6th.
Thank you to our sponsors!
