The North Carolina AIDS Action Network is excited to announce HIV Speaks on Jones Street on Wednesday, May 31st, 2023 in Raleigh, NC. This event serves as a chance for our community of HIV, Harm Reduction, and Viral Hepatitis advocates from across the state to come together and meet with state policymakers to speak on issues impacting their communities.
We are excited to be back in-person at the North Carolina General Assembly again this year! Folks from across the state will be able to meet with the policy makers who represent their communities. We will kick off with a morning program at 8:45 AM that will include welcoming remarks, a panel with advocates from across NC, and a briefing on relevant public policy issues related to HIV, Harm Reduction, and Viral Hepatitis in North Carolina this year. Additionally, group meetings will be scheduled with elected officials throughout the day directly following the opening program and will likely go until around 3PM.
For any questions in regard to HIV Speaks on Jones Street please contact Matt Martin at matt@ncaan.org.
We cannot wait to see you in Raleigh on May 31st as we meet with policy makers at the North Carolina General Assembly and advocate for progressive change in our communities!
