Thank you Josh Wynne!
There are those that look for ways to do the least amount of work for the most amount of credit. Josh is NOT one of those individuals. "Josh was the first person to reach out and ask, 'how may I help?'" recalls Lisa Hazirjian, NCAAN Executive Director. "He's amazing with volunteers, and his early efforts to help us build up our volunteer program in the Triangle contributed hugely to our successes this past year." In the Triangle, Josh has done peer support work with other HIV-positive men and is now an AmeriCorps team member placed with Alliance of AIDS Services. If that weren't enough, Josh also has done work with Equality NC as a community organizer - managing, teaching and organizing volunteers - and ensuring that ENC had a presence at many events in the area's college campuses and in the community. With his help, ENC was able to help win passage of the Healthy Youth Act, allowing students to receive comprehensive information about contraception and disease prevention. Join us in recognizing Josh's important work in the community and send him a big 'Thank You!' to thankyou@ncaan.org. [Also, be sure to check out whom North Carolina Community AIDS Fund is recognizing!] |
