Thank you Dee Dee Richardson!
If you think you know a mover and shaker, then you may know Dee Dee. On staff at Regional AIDS Interfaith Network (RAIN), Dee Dee is responsible for a multitude of tasks that directly help uplift and strengthen her community on a daily basis. "We've been so fortunate to work with Dee Dee in Charlotte,” says NCAAN Executive Director Lisa Hazirjian. “She's been a tremendous collaborator around grassroots advocacy campaigns and played a big part organizing our advocacy training for RAIN clients, staff, and community members." At RAIN, Dee Dee’s responsibilities include, assisting with the Healthy Relationships and Life Skills program, providing administrative support to the director of education & advocacy, facilitating group meetings, and maintaining all documentation. And if that wasn’t enough, Dee Dee also manages to find time to assist with HIV/AIDS education programs to groups and congregations! Dee Dee is particularly special and important to the NCAAN family because, every year, we can always count on her to bring the biggest delegation of people to HIV/AIDS Advocacy Day. When notified that she would be one of the individuals selected for the ‘Thank You’ campaign, Dee Dee wrote this touching email response: “I don’t do it for fame, money or to be seen. I have a deep passion in what I do, so I know this is my Purpose in why I was created.” Join us in giving our gratitude to Dee Dee for her absolutely critical work in the community and send her a big 'Thank You!' to thankyou@ncaan.org.
