Fighting Religious and Moral Exemptions to Care

April 27, 2020 by Christina Adeleke

Join the NC AIDS Action Network and Latino Commission on AIDS for a webinar on Thursday April 30th at 10 AM EST.

The Trump Administration has created expansive religious and moral exemptions from the Affordable Care Act’s requirement for contraceptive coverage. Pennsylvania and New Jersey have challenged these rules in a case that will be heard by the U.S. Supreme Court in May. Together with other organizations, the NC AIDS Action Network submitted a brief to warn the Court of the rules’ potential to harm people living with and at risk for HIV, hepatitis C, and other chronic conditions.

The Center for Health Law and Policy Innovation of Harvard Law School and North Carolina advocates with Planned Parenthood will be joining us to discuss this case and why it is so important for our communities. Hosted by NC AIDS Action Network and the Latino Commission on AIDS.
