Abolitionist Organizing & Ending the Epidemic in NC Webinar

June 22, 2020 by Christina Adeleke

Our country is currently experiencing a reckoning on addressing the harsh realities of systemic racism and white supremacy in our society. Southern organizers continue to be at the forefront of abolitionist work and also work to end the HIV epidemic, playing a vital role in advocating for constructive ways to address the harm these issues have brought on our communities.

Join us on Thursday, June 25th, at 10AM EST for the Abolitionist Organizing & Ending the Epidemic in NC webinar. We will have a discussion on the state of policing and its impact on the community and learn about a case study from Durham Beyond Policing and explore the intersection of abolitionist and public health advocacy. We will be joined by José Romero and Dr. Danielle Purifoy, JD from Durham Beyond Policing.
